Reel experience day

Great to read this Rich, fabulous piece of work the pleasure that will give will be enormous, knowing you made it yourself. Hope you have many a tight line on it.

Here's the actual FJT reels, the wider line lay reel is called the specialist and the narrower model is called the trotter, nice reels.....






I haven't taken a pic of the back, or I can't see it if I have. If I had a pic of the back it would show the ratchet operation is a small button type which is positioned in the centre above the pin screw on the back which just pushes up and down which when pushed down engages the caliper check. That set up is my personal favourite. ratchet mechanisum.

Thanks Richard, they are nice reels, I forget how many were made, I think it was 100 of each.
They came with a little card/certificate with FJTs signature on it and a reel holder/bag embroiderd in red with FJT.
I have no idea if Garry supplies a case with his new reels nowadays?
