I’d rather put another hundred into a complete length tidier looking model personally.
At 125-150 it would be worth considering as a donor rod imo.

Is it a light actioned silvers rod that you require? If you aren't set on an Acolyte or relatively recent, and don't want to pay too much, this Drennan Team England 12' Action Tip might be worth a punt. I wouldn't recommend it for trotting any distance though, it's too soft and through actioned. Ideal for chucking small wagglers around on still and slower moving water.
