anyone on here fish the taff regular I’m a newby to barbel angling I have match fishing background, heading to the taff on the 17th witch can’t come quick enough lol any tips

Few and far between prefer to fish the deeper runs obviously. Meat is a winner in low light I've also had good success with pellet and casters.
 
Also in higher water straight under your rod tip behind any kind of cover which seems few and far between.
 
Tend to be good fish but not many so definitely worth it. If you get disheartened you can always pop to the Wye for a shot in the arm.
