Hatter

Far too many, but off the top of my head-

Pike

3 x DLST P1 2.75lb
1 x DLST P2 2.5lb
1 x Sledgehammer (heavy lure)
1 x Fooler (med lure)
2 x 10ft Wychwood extricator 3lb

Barbel

2 x 13ft Korum 2.5lb
4 x Korum neoteric (original) 1.75/2.2lb twin tips
1 x Korum neoteric 1.75lb avon quiver
1 x 8ft Korum opportunist 2lb

Avon/twin tip rods

2 x 1lb Drennan specialists
2 x 1.25lb Drennan series 7
1 x 1.5lb Drennan series 7

Float rods

1 x Drennan 13ft competition float
1 x Drennan 15ft float master
1 x Drennan 13ft specialist float
1 x Drennan 11ft series 7 pellet waggler

Feeder rods

2 x Drennan match pro quiver
1 x Drennan medium feeder
1 x Drennan 11/13ft super feeder
1 x Drennan 9.6ft commercial feeder (Red range)

1 x dropshot rod
2 x fly rods
2 x travel rods
1 x spod rod
1 x heavy beachcaster

2 poles, 3 whips

I generally don’t buy as many reels, usually just buy a few spare spools and use the preston rod ready spool safe to have the rods setup.

3 x Shimano 6000 OC, 3 x 4000 OC, 2 x 2500 Shimano baitrunners, 1 x Shimano 3000, 3 x Shimano 2500, 2 okuma altera 40, 2 abu multi, 1 abu 501, 2 fly reels, spod reel.

I think I’ve missed a few rods, I could probably do with thinning a few out but I’m at the stage where I don't need anything else, kind of got a tool for every job, more of a case of just upgrading the odd rod if the opportunity presents itself. I want a nice 10ft 1.75lb barbel rod for when I start fishing the smaller rivers, will get rid of the 8ft rod then.

Blimey ,that some collection 👍

Using Terry Pratchett's Troll counting method of "one, two, many, lots", I have lots. Half the fun of the fair for me is trying new (but not necessarily brand new) gear. The snag is that I have a nasty habit of forgetting to sell anything that falls by the wayside.

I cover all aspects of the sport tiddler bashing with a whip to big game and everything in between, game, coarse and sea. Rods/poles probably 50+, reels many more if I include my display shelf pins. I tend to keep my old gear intending to repurpose and use it again at some stage and invariably do, my old Greys Prodigy barbel rods are now my eel rods for example.
We must be related
I’m 50+ rods
Don’t know how many reels
I’m a hoarder

Have had the same question from the good lady, my answer to that is, I can get them out and explain what each one is used for. That answer puts paid to any further enquiries. :D:D

Mine is modest compared to some.

3 X Barbel rods 2 X 12 Lb 1 X 1.75 Lb
2 X 13 Ft Heavy/Distance Rods one rated to 100g C/W one 180g C/W
1 X 15 Ft Stickfloat rod
1 X 13 Ft Float rod
1 X 12 Ft Avon rod
1 X 10 Ft Feeder Rod
1 X 10 Ft Wand Feeder Rod
2 X 12 Ft 3 Lb Carp rods

Three very recent additions that have pride of place at the moment....

Daiwa Amorphous AWL 11/13 Heavy Feeder rod and the earlier version Whisker Kevlar WKL 11/13 Heavy Feeder rod and the SWL 11/13 Stillwater Feeder. Have been after these rods for a while and like buses all three turned up almost one after another.

Reels

2 X Shinano Aero 8000 RE
2 X Shimano DL 6000
2 X Shimano ST 6000
3 X Daiwa 3012 TDM DH
2 X Preston Extremity Feeder 520
1 X Cadence CS7 4000
1 X Okuma Aventa VT 1000 centrepin
1 X JW Youngs 4 Inch Rapidex centrepin

Where do I start. I put together a spreadsheet a years or so ago but it's not to hand. It must be about 25-30 rods.I am starting to sell little used, or rods and reels that I will probably not use again. Some of which are in very good condition and have not been used for 20+ years. Or are not as efficient as modern day carbon.

Some impressive lists but I know a man (no names) it’s up to him if he wants to add More with close on 100 rods and probably similar numbers on reels.
No he doesn’t sell, build or trade. He’s an angler

I honestly have no idea! Just glancing at one of the shelves in my study I can see seven centrepins and there are some mounted on rods in the garage plus a few others not on rods. Talking of rods there must be dozens!
