I wear walking boot socks, no particular sock brand. from go outdoors 
Regards boot size I never oversize, for my fishing I wear good walking boots, muck boots or vass chesties all in my actual size

I wear smart wool socks and oversize my wading boots by 1 to take account of the neoprene boot sock.

Bought some yesterday. Went size up after trying them on. So untill I rip them I'm sorted. Thanks gor the replies guys.

A bit late for you Michael, but for anyone else thinking about it here's my opinion. Especially if you plan to do any winter wading, I'd go up two sizes to allow for a good thermal sock inside the neoprene sock.
