My good friend Tom could not have put it better, I was having problems lifting this fish and not having my fingers spoiling the pic so it looks bent, but it realy was a perfect specimum and I am confident a new lady on the block.

Get one in your finger and you will know it. As far as I am concerned the hooks that I mentioned earlier are pleanty sharp enough for me, ask the Barbel, they penitrate and once connected they stay put.
Gardner tackle Covert Dark, I love the shape and the sharpness is unbelievable, ask the Barbel, I intend to try the same hooks in the continental range, slightly stronger but no extra weight. I use size 10 & 12.
There are or will be reasons why you may want to amend your hook link length, over the years I have tried them at all lengths from around two foot to six foot, but now I use a combi at eighteen inches overall to max of two feet including the braid piece [ which is about four inches on average]...
