    Not the cheapest but it's the Trakker Levelite transformer for me. Really light but good, solid build quality. Dead comfy too. Possibly a little too comfy.....

    Gavin, that's exactly right. My point is that for any single location both the local datum and the national datum are fixed points. The only variable is the river level. Agreed?

    15 foot trotting rod

    Recently bought the 13ft version of this rod. It's rated at 2-8lb line and weighs 210 grams on the kitchen scales. Not fished with it yet but it performs well under vigorous waggling. Gotta be a good sign hasn't it?
